I have Tramontina stainless steel cookware and I love it. It is 18/10 stainless with copper incapsulated in the bottom. Cooks with less heat. I have included their website.

I have a set of "Cooks Essentials". I love them. You want to get something Non Stick and Stainless Steel. A good set will have a sauce pan, a couple of skillets, a deep covered skillet (for lke hamburger helper) and I always use my noodle steamer. (not sure what its really called) and of course a big pot for like Chilli. Thats all I use and I cook alot.
References :
Try Home Shopping Network (www.hsn.com). They sell great cookware sets. I have the Wolfgang Puck Stainless Steel set and they are wonderful! I also highly recommend Cuisinart, Oster or Command Performance. They do have smaller sets that are within your price range so you can always get the basics and add to it. However, once you get a good cookware set, it should last you awhile so it's worth the money. Especially if you cook often.
