What is the best nonstick cookware on the market today?

Circulon cookware.. it has concentric rings that are raised and covered in teflon.. I have had my set for 7 years and it has yet to stick for the first time, even though I use metal utensils in them occaisonally, they are very durable. I purchased mine at Dillards in Dallas, but I am sure they are available at any department store or house ware store. www.bizrate.com has a 12 piece set on sale with free shipping now for 199.00$.

What is the difference between hard anodized, stainless steel, and nonstick cookware?

Anodizing is a process done to aluminum to harden it. Aluminum has the best heat transfer capablities of the three and Anodizing makes it safe to use. Normal Aluminum can flake and leave bits in the food giving it an Aluminum taste and Aluminum has been linked in part to Alzimmers (probably spelled wrong). I believe the hard anodized vs anodized is that hard anodized gives it a better non-stick type coating. The downside to Anodized cook ware is that it is heavy, expencive and you normally have to be careful what kind of utinsels you use with it (but then again wood and silcon stuff is easy to find and use these days.

Stainless Steel is also high quality but does not have the heat transfer abilities of anodized aluminum but you can use steel utinsels with it.

Non-stick cookware can be made of varying qualities of materials but are typically coated with something like teflon to give it the non-stick ability. Heat transfer will also vary from ok to not so ok. But it cleans really easily and is typically much less expecive even for something half way decent.

nonstick cookware…am i gonna die?!?!?

So, I'm pretty scared here…I guess I've been living under the rock for the past few years, but I just found out about this whole "nonstick cookware causes cancer" deal and I've been using pans w/scratches for months now! How much exposure do you have to have for it to affect you?? Please please please help me!!!

I just got a really great nonstick pan, and it came with a ton of information on the safety of Teflon. It is poisonous and cancerous, but only if you get it well above the stovetop or oven cooking temperatures, so there's nothing to worry about.

which is better stainless steel cookware or nonstick cookware?

I am looking at getting a new set of pans and want to know your opinion of what is better. I always have had nonstick but am thinking of getting stainless steel. Wich one is better and is stainless steel easy to keep clean? I just worry about stainless steel going rusty.

the best thing to have is a set of stainless steel, witch is easy enough to keep clean, but eveyone needs a non stick in their collection. so buy the whole set in sainless steel, but then get yourself one really good non stick and you are set!! :)
